Time For A Big Change

Senator Barrack Obama came to our little community here in Ft. Collins, CO. We are what you call a "Battleground State", and the good Senator saw it only proper to see the small communities as well as the big ones here. That in itself impressed me greatly. The other thing that really hit home, is the fact that this man told us what he was going to do when he IS elected. Not the trash talking that Senator McCain has waged as his campaign strategy.

The other thing that impressed me greatly was our own community. Just before Barrack came to deliver his speech at our rally, he was in Denver playing to a crowd of 100,000 people. When he made it to our much smaller community, 45,000 to 50,000 energized folks showed up. AMAZING! I have made my vote in trucker fashion, and did my mail in ballot. Now I encourage everyone who comes here, to get out and vote for the biggest change politics has ever seen.

And to Alex and his good friends....You are our future. Walk with pride in being part of this historic day we shared.

From Baggs Wyoming

I delivered some tanks to Baggs Wyoming, and this is one of the biggest attractions there. This is one of the places Butch Cassidy and his Hole In The Wall Gang hid out when on the run. If you've ever been to Baggs, you'll understand why.

Back in the saddle again...

Ahhh! The open road. This is out in Wyoming on I-80. a place where the wind will blow you off the road, and out into the desert. Thankfully, on this day it wasn't so bad.

Now that the little bugger is out the womb, I need to tell all of you something. I named my truck after a good friend's new born baby boy. This Pete 379 is now dubbed Dexter, after Dexter Augustus Coppola, Christophers and the lovely Mrs. Coppola's new born. See him @ www.christophercoppola.com

Meet my Son, Christopher. He stopped by to say hi on a journey that even I took when I was around his age. And of course you all have to meet my half side, Karen.

Alot of thought given...

I have given both candidates my ear for the run for The President of the United States, and after exploring both histories and methodologies of the two candidates, I have made a choice that astounds even myself.
John McCain has a very impressive record of accomplishment in life. He has gone through adversity with courage and a measure of dignity. He has served as a public servant in the U.S. Senate and fought for what he believes in. And I can see his agenda. Another run at failed policies that have driven our country into poverty for the majority, and wealth beyond belief for a select few. Himself included.
Barack Obama came from hard work and dignity from a mixed background. He has shaken the hands of the poor, and the wealthy. He is young, and enthusiastic. And made a statement at his acceptance speech that sticks to me very well.
"Change doesn't come from Washington. It comes TO Washington."
He is not the son of an Admiral of the U.S. Navy.
He did not forsake his committment to his wife, to exploit the resources of a younger woman.
And he is surrounding himself with the people who fill the gap of inexperience, and listens to them.
I will cast my vote for the best candidate. And that candidate IS Barack Obama!
Now ask yourselves....Do you want a President who was a "Party Animal"? One who has the influence of George W. Bush, and oil executives as his guidence. Or do you want a President who comes from hard work, and fire in the belly for all peoples. I know what way I'm going, and I didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday. I drove it.
And on a side note...I used to be Republican. Not anymore, unless the Bush family, or McCain families become Democrat.
I just want a better life for me and my family.

Another New Gig

Well...Ol Barn got another gig. There is my new truck. It is owned by Maxey Manufacturing, and I will be the Captain for it. Mostly the 11 Western United States with an occaisional trip to Up State New York.
I will be home on the weekends and telling the tales of the open road, so tune in all!
